My passion for travelling started at a very young age; I was fascinated by people from different cultures and daydreamed about visiting other countries. My dad used to travel a fair bit for work, and every time he came back from his travels, I couldn´t wait to hear his stories. It felt as if I was destined to travel the world, and I couldn´t wait!

It wasn´t until I graduated high school that I could finally have the chance to go abroad as an exchange student in the US. I felt a mix of excitement, happiness, and of course... nervousness; after all, it was going to be the first time I was going to be away from what I knew as home.
Being in another country was refreshing, scary, and awakening on many levels. It helped me to develop valuable life skills and to get to know myself better, but above all, I got to make new connections and share my culture with everyone I met along the way. I left the US with a new sense of purpose and feeling fulfilled for having the courage to get to go after my dreams.

Back in my home country, Ecuador, I couldn´t help but think about what was next, so as soon as I started university, I embarked on a program that later on would allow me to finish my studies in Australia. I continued my education with that purpose, and when the day came, my 5-year Australian journey began.
Yes! I spent 5 full years living in the land down under, getting familiar with the culture, travelling around its beautiful territory and making friends from all over the world. You can only imagine how hard it was to leave a country that I had called home for that long and whose culture was now deeply engrained in me, but there I was, after years of having built amazing memories; it was time to say goodbye and start a new adventure!

After being back in Ecuador once again, I decided to go back to the US. However, after having worked in Napa Valley for a few months, COVID forced me to move back home, cutting my journey short! A couple of months after being back, I decided to start a new chapter of my life called Canada, which is where I am writing you from.
What can I say? It has been a long bumpy road, but completely worth it and far from ending. As I like to say, travelling is not always a smooth ride, but it´s sure a fun one!
So whether you are planning a trip, getting ready to pack up your bags, or just building the courage to take that first step into booking your first flight, I will walk you through valuable tips, life experiences, and interesting facts about places worth visiting so that you have all the tools you need to start creating unforgettable memories abroad!

Hi Carla,
I enjoyed reading about your experience traveling, and I am happy to know that another Ecuadorian enjoys traveling around. I loved the topic since it is quite attractive to me and all the recommendations that you can share.
Additionally, I find it very useful for all people who come from abroad and in general for anyone who travels to talk about the pros and cons, since that helps to have a much more realistic perspective.
Finally, the TikTok video was very fun and interesting; I just wish it was a little longer because I feel that it was cut suddenly, but from the rest, I feel that it is an excellent topic.
Thank you for your blog; keep…
