As you may know, at the moment, I am living in Victoria, BC. I have been living here for six months already! I know from experience how stressful it can be for people considering moving to a new country or city to decide what place to choose, especially if you are considering moving there permanently. Hey Carla! I saw that you're also new to Victoria. About six months ago, I moved here to pursue a Marketing degree, and I have to say that choosing Victoria was definitely the right decision for me. I'm someone who can't stand the cold for too long, so I knew that living in a place with -40 winter weather would be a no-go for me. Victoria's weather was a big factor in my decision to move here, and I'm so glad I did! And I absolutely love that song by Meghan Trainor that you used! It's giving me such good vibes.
Hi, Carla! I loved reading your blog and especially this post about living in Victoria. Like you, I almost have had six months living in the city, and I share your impressions. The cost of living here is indeed high, overall, due to inflation affecting the country and the world. There is no wild nightlife or many cultural events throughout the year, but for the quiet ones or introverts, this is fine 😉.
