Top 3 hotel recommendations in Bali

Bali has become a highly popular destination in the past few years among visitors from all over the world. Its popularity is partially due to the abundant, affordable and astonishing accommodation alternatives. Below, I will share my experience of staying at three different properties around the island!

#1: Pecatu Ubud Guest House

This beautiful family-run property is located in a central location in Ubud. It is close to tourist attractions such as the Agung Rai Museum of Art, the Monkey Forest, and the Ubud palace. The highlights of the property are the rooftop swimming pool and beautiful gardens. The hosts are friendly, and guests are brought breakfast to the room every morning. The facility offers complimentary WiFi and airport shuttles. All the rooms are bright and clean and feature an ensuite bathroom, TV, and air conditioning. The average price for a room is $33 per night, which includes complimentary breakfast (Booking.com, 2023).

I had the best time during my stay at Pecatu Ubud Guest House; the staff was friendly and accommodating, they ensured the room was cleaned on a daily basis, and they were able to book trips to nearby attractions. The property itself offers an amazing experience far from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, and in addition to the cozy and peaceful environment, what I personally enjoyed the most was soaking at the pool after a busy day of exploring Ubud enjoying the 360° views from the rooftop.

Be aware there is no restaurant on the property; however, plenty of food venues are within walking distance.

#2: Bali Nusa Cottage

This property is strategically located in Lembongan and is within walking distance from Mushroom Bay, Sandy Beach, and a wide variety of restaurants and shops. One can also rent a bicycle or scooter from a nearby shop and go explore attractions such as Blue Corner and Mangrove Point!

The facilities feature a beautiful outdoor pool right in the Centre of the villa, free WiFi, and a restaurant. Every room has a private bathroom and comes equipped with a flat-screen TV. The average price per night is $30 (Booking.com, 2023b), which is a steal considering this property's well-maintained and superb service!

My stay at Bali Nusa Cottage was stress-free; the staff was extremely helpful and provided advice on places to visit. The greatest benefit of staying here was the fact that the beach was only a 3-minute walk from the hotel! The room was clean and had a little terrace facing the pool.

Overall this is a great alternative if you are looking for a place to stay around the Lembongan region!

#3: Citadines Kuta Beach Bali

This hotel is located in Downtown Kuta, just across the beach. It is within walking distance from Beachwalk Shopping Center, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and spas. The rooms are modern, clean, and spacious.

The hotel offers concierge service, 24-hour in-room dining, a gym, a fully functioning business centre, self-service laundry facilities, a spa, free WiFi, and a complimentary buffet breakfast. The property also has a breathtaking rooftop area featuring an infinity pool, cabanas, lounge chairs, and a resto-bar with views to the beach. This property's average price per night is $71 (KAYAK, 2023).

I had a great experience staying at Citadines Kuta Beach Bali. What I enjoyed most about this property was the rooftop area where one could relax while cooling down at the swimming pool or watching the sunset while sipping down a cocktail. The hotel's downside was the service the staff provided, as it could have been more welcoming and friendly, but other than that, this is a great option if you are looking for a place to stay in Kuta.
